IS SHR HAIR REMOVAL SUITABLE FOR DARK SKIN TYPE?
SHR is suitable for those with both light and dark skin tones. The beams are safe to treat all skin types (Skin type 1 to 4 on Fitzpatrick scale).
For individuals on skin type 5, diode laser hair removal would be a better option. Traditional hair removal methods such as IPL is not recommended for patients with darker skin tones as it can potentially burn the skin.
Majority of people will feel warm sensation on their skin and experience no severe discomfort. Due to the laser’s unique cooling technology, the hair removal process more relaxing and prevents surrounding healthy tissues from being damaged.
